- Continue on N176 signed ‘ST BRIEUC - LORIENT’
- Exit D794 signed ‘VANNES - LORIENT’ then immediately at junction turn LEFT
signed ‘VANNES - LORIENT’ (D794)
- 2nd exit at roundabout signed ‘VANNES - LORIENT’ (D766) [if you did visit
Dinan you may rejoin the route at this roundabout]
- 2nd exit at roundabout signed ‘VANNES - LORIENT’
- You stay on
this road for some time - enjoy the countryside
- Into Caulnes
- boulangerie on left just before church
- As
you go through the town bear left (D766) signed ‘VANNES’
- Pass mill on
left - under rail bridge
- Straight on signed ’VANNES - LORIENT’
- At
t-junction turn right - over railway bridge - immediately into St Jouan de
l’isle
- In
the town take LEFT turn at church signed ‘VANNES - LORIENT’ [we haven’t
tried it, but the restaurant on your right at this junction advertised
breakfast]
- 2nd exit at roundabout signed ‘RENNES - QUIMPER - VANNES - LORIENT’ (N164)
- Immediately turn right signed ‘QUIMPER - VANNES - LORIENT (n164)
- Turn right on D166 signed ‘VANNES - LORIENT’
- Follow road round to right over road bridge and straight on following signs
‘VANNES - LORIENT’
- 3rd exit at roundabout (D76) ‘VANNES - LORIENT’
- 2nd exit at roundabout signed ‘VANNES - LORIENT’
- Citroen
garage on left
- 3rd exit at roundabout signed ‘VANNES - LORIENT’
- 1st exit at roundabout signed ‘VANNES - LORIENT’
- Join the N24 - remain on this road for 31ml (Baud).
- If you wish
to take a break, Josselin is a pretty town with chateau overlooking the
Nantes-Brest canal (D793 for the centre of Josselin - there is a Super-U and
Champion supermarket at this junction)
- Ignore turning for ‘Baud est’ remain on N24 for 3 more miles to following
exit ‘BAUD - AURAY’ then immediately:

exit at roundabout (D768) signed ‘BAUD’ -
(DO NOT TAKE 4th EXIT
INDICATED BAUD STATION AS THIS PUTS YOU BACK ON THE N24!)
- Drive to centre of Baud (approx 1ml to town centre) passing 2
mini-roundabouts.
- At
church turn right signed D768‘ VANNES - AURAY’
- As
you go down the hill move into your inside lane and veer left to ‘CAMORS -VANNES’
passing the town hall on your right.
- 2nd exit at mini-roundabout signed ‘VANNES - AURAY’

Downhill to large roundabout with rockery at bottom of hill - take 3rd exit
signed ‘LAMBEL’

Follow forest road for 3ml, passing through hamlets of Pont Tallec and
Scocello

Immediately at village sign turn left signed ‘CAMORS’, then first right into
rue de l’etoile

Continue up the hill (passing the re-cycling area on your left) to the STOP
sign - immediately after this on the left is our drive (just after a garden
with white pallistrade fencing and a couple of detached houses with front
gardens). A green letter box on a post marks the entrance

(longer, but if you want to stop for a Boulangerie & milk etc.)

Downhill to large roundabout with rockery at bottom of hill - take 4th exit
signed ‘CAMORS’

Up
hill to the town of Camors, over 4 pedestrian crossings (then stop for
Boulangerie/ Patisserie/ Alimentation on left next to Pizzeria and Auto-ecole)

Straight on through the town, leave Camors and after approx 1ml. turn right
signed ‘LAMBEL’ (having past the Garden Machinery outlet and Sabot maker on
your left)

Straight on at mini-roundabout with tree in centre (this is Napoleon’s oak
and replaces an old one that blew down in the storms) (C3)

In
the distance you will see a white house. Turn left in front of this house.
Within 20 metres turn right into our drive marked by a green letter box on a
pole - the
house is set back from rue de l’‘etoile
Total
mileage approx 98 miles - a little under two hours if the roads are clear
