PONTIVY - HOW TO GET THERE - FROM ST MALO

  1. Through customs point bear right following ‘SORTIE / TOUTES DIRECTIONS’
  2. Follow signs for ‘RENNES’ out of the town then take exit signed ‘DINAN - ST BRIEUC - VANNES’ to join N176
  3. Cross the estuary of the River Rance - Continue to follow signs for ‘DINAN’
  4. Stay on the ‘N176’ rather than turning off for the town, then take the
    turning marked ‘LORIENT’ - BEWARE - THIS IS NOT AN EASY JUNCTION
  5. Follow the ‘D766’ South
  6. Pass through Caulnes (There is a good boulangerie on left just before church!) - as you go through the town bear left (D766) signed ‘VANNES’
  7. Pass mill on left - under rail bridge - straight on signed ’VANNES - LORIENT’
  8. At t-junction turn right - over railway bridge - immediately into St Jouan de l’isle
  9. In the town take LEFT turn at church signed ‘VANNES - LORIENT’ by the 4 Tonnes restaurant/bar
  10. Continue on the D766 until you take the turning ‘QUIMPER/LORIENT’ (N164)just past the turning for St Méen le Grand
  11. Remain on the N164 to Loudeac, where you turn off to take the D700, following the signs to Pontivy
  12. As you approach the town you will descend to a roundabout where you will see the River Blavet to your right
  13. Turn left at the roundabout immediately before the bridge to follow the East side (town side) of the river bank
  14. At traffic lights turn right and follow directions for Malguénac, passing Super-U on your left and forking left onto the Rue des Ajoncs as you ascend the hill
  15. Pass two large hordings on your right and a junction (indicated for the Chapel of St. Trephine) to your left where there is a bench around a tree and a calvaire
  16. You will now enter a 50km speed limit - take the next turning left into rue du marché aux femmes
  17. The tree-lined drive for Number 10 is the first on your left, marked by a blue letter box with our name and number 10
