Visit to St Georges - May 2011

In 2011 we visited St Georges Montcocq in lovely weather at the end of May.

Our coach arrived in darkness. Arriving in St Georges by lunchtime gave us all a chance to spend time with hosts before meeting at the Salle Polyvalente for an evening meal.

An early start on Sunday led to a day full of surprises. We travelled to Fougeres where we had a guided tour of the castle and a potted history of the many battles it had seen, followed by a tour of the town.

Monday morning we explored St Georges and its surroundings in different ways. We are looking forward to 2012 when our friends in St Georges Montcocq will visit Bransgore.

Bransgore is twinned with St Georges Montcocq which is an attractive village just outside St Lo, Normandy and has enthusiastic groups of French families hoping to twin with new British families.
